Habir Ibn al-Aswad was a vicious enemy of The Prophet Muhammad. During the Hijra of the Prophet’s daughter Zainab, the polytheists of Mecca tried to stop her from leaving. Habir Ibn al-Aswad, in particular, was the most aggressive with her; he physically assaulted her and intentionally caused her to fall from her camel. She was pregnant at that time, her fall had caused her to miscarry her baby, and she was severely hurt.  He had committed many other crimes against Muslims as well. After the victory of Mecca, he wanted to flee to Persia, but once he heard how the prophet treated his other enemies, he decided to come to Muhammad instead, the Prophet magnanimously forgave all that he has done to him and his daughter.
