Tolerance Day in Organization of Islamic Cooperation Member States
OIC celebrates March 11, as a day of tolerance, following the example of the Prophet when he treated polytheists, upon entering Mecca, with mercy and pardon, saying “Go your way, for you are free” thus laying the foundations for a culture of tolerance among Muslims.


Islamophobia Reached Epidemic Proportions in Europe
UN Special Rapporteur Ahmed Shaheed, said Islamophobia reached epidemic proportions in Europe, stressing that counter-terrorism measures are used to target Muslims and define their communities as extremely risky, he urged action to combat anti-Muslim hatred.

A group of Muslim youth in New Zealand will run ‘True Islam NZ’ campaign in early April. They will visit cities in 21 days to educate the public about true Islam, answer questions from people of other religions, and correct misconceptions about Muslims and Islam.


Niqab Officially Banned in Switzerland
With a slim majority of 51.2%, Swiss voters voted in favour of Niqab ban in public. Activists said it violates Muslim women's rights. The Swiss government argued against the ban as it would reduce the number of tourists from Islamic countries.

A recent survey has shown the impact of the extreme right in Europe in 2020, showing that 1 in 3 Europeans holds negative views against Muslims. Hungary was revealed to be the country that suffers from Islamophobia the most.


Teaching Islam in Bavaria Schools
After a successful experimental phase for more than 10 years, the state of Bavaria in southern Germany introduced Islam in about 350 primary and middle schools as an optional course, to join many German states that focus on equality and respect for religions.
